This led to the birth of Omaze, where anyone can enter without spending hundreds or thousands of dollars. But users get the same opportunities for incredible prizes like a free car, dream vacation, or even cash prizes. You can donate as little as $10 and potentially win a Mustang or a Maserati.
Rest assured, most of the money goes directly to charity
The first thing on everyone’s mind when they donate to a fundraiser is how much of the money actually goes to the charity. Omaze promises that a majority of the funds raised will go to the charity the experience is supporting. When you enter to win an experience with a celebrity, 60% of the funds will go to the charity via a grant from Charities Aid Foundation America.
With non-celebrity experiences such as cars or vacation packages, 15% goes to the charity while most of the funds go to cover the cost of the prize. Omaze only takes 12% to 20% of the cost for marketing expenses. So, even when you use an Omaze code for extra entries, a good chunk of the money you do spend on Omaze will go directly to helping charity.
